Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

This video was very touching. Randy Pausch was definitely a passionate man that believed in encouraging others to be better. He did not let anything to get in his way. In this video he talks bout achieving your dreams.

Dr. Randy Pausch shared his childhood dreams and accomplishments. He talked about all his dreams and goals that he has achieved. He spoke about obstacles that he went through in which he overcame. Dr. Pausch also let us know that we have brick walls. These brick walls that we encounter are only here to show us our dedication. He also stated that we should have a specific dreams. Be enthusiastic and work hard.

Dr. Pausch that one should be good at something because it makes you valuable. I agree once a person find something that they like or is good at, make it work. I believe when this happen it show in your work. This is why as a future teacher, I want to encourage students to be creative. When students are creative it allows them to find things that they are good at or like to do. I believed allowing students to be creative can help them dream big. That is why I like the idea of Dr. Pausch class the virtual world because it allowed the students to be creative.

Randy Pausch believe in karma, being earnest, telling the truth, apologizing when one screw up, focusing on others and not self. He believed that those are ways to get people to help you. I agree with this and that you have to treat others like you want to be treated. Dr Pausch's lecture was very uplifting and encouraging.

  1. Hello Kristie,
My Name is Jordan, and I have been assigned to your blog this week. I agree with everything that you said about Dr. Pausch and his speech. I thought his speech was entertaining and kept the audience's attention while still delivering his message of hard work paying off. He was a very effective teacher that worked hard to create a new program that helped provide a platform for his students to shine and show their talents. I thought that the "head-fake" lessons that he learned were as valuble, if not more than the concrete lessons that he learned throughout his life, or the lessons that any student can learn in life.
